Can you opt out of auto renew on this TripIt deal or does it charge the year fee right away? Thx
As it's a trial I believe you can opt out.

Nexus doesn't give you Global Entry. It only allows you to use the Global Entry kiosks when you fly from certain pre-cleared Canadian airports. It is a better deal than just getting TSA-Pre but you have to live near the Canadian border to go to the interview. :-(
Nexus members can use Global Entry Kiosk when arriving from other international flights, not just from Canada. Check comparison here.

Nexus includes Global Entry. From
https://www.cbp.gov/travel/truste...-questions

Q: As a current NEXUS or SENTRI member, how can I use Global Entry kiosks?
A: All current NEXUS members, and U.S. citizens and U.S. lawful permanent residents who are SENTRI members, are eligible to use Global Entry kiosks once they provide fingerprints and document information to CBP. If CBP already has your fingerprints and document information on file, you can use Global Entry kiosks without further action and at no additional cost. If you are a Mexican national in SENTRI, you must apply for Global Entry through your GOES account. For additional Global Entry benefit information, log on to your GOES account.
https://www.cbp.gov/travel/truste...nexus/card

Entering the United States

All NEXUS members can enjoy the benefits of Global Entry at no additional cost through using the Global Entry kiosks for entry at participating airports.

When using the Global Entry kiosks in Canada Preclearance locations you can use your passport, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident card or NEXUS card. You cannot use your NEXUS card at Global Entry kiosks outside of Canadian Preclearance locations. At all other ports, you will need to use your passport or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident card.

I think this pretty much makes it clear that NEXUS is only good when entering the US from precleared Canadian location.

My 2 month Clear trial just expired yesterday. I followed OP's instructions and successfully got another 3 month trial for my entire family. I used the same email address, signed up, got an email from Clear, had to change the password, logged in and saw the following:

"Full Membership
Your full membership subscription and family plan, including travel, sports and arenas, automatically renews on 05/21/18 at $229.00 with your card ending in xxxx."

Also immediately changed the accounting setting to NOT auto renew.
Can you pay the $50 for the family members and cancel your membership? Would be pretty slick to get the other people in the family CLEAR membership for $50.

As a nexus member you still get to use Global Entry Kiosk when arriving from other international cities. Just that you have to use Passport at the Kiosk instead of Nexus card.

Commenting on the old thread but I have a quick question: I had signed up for a month trial and cancelled it. Can I sign up for another trial with my spouse and add me as a family member?
