5 lbs of all purpose Miracle-Gro plant food for $8.87. Amazon sells 8 oz for $7.33 and 3 pounds for $16.22 so this seems like a good price for 5 lbs.

Close to an all time low per CCC. $10.30 is average price last few years though.

OSH will have their sale ($10 for 10 lb.) in spring. Look out for that. I typically buy in bulk as these do not seem to expire.

sells for 9.98 at Home Depot

Walmart 8.87. So this Amazon deal is just OK unless you want to save a trip to HD or walmart and have it Prime delivered to the doorstep.

Any other green thumbs out there that can recommend for or against for any recreational gardeners? Just thinking that miracle gro probably isn't the best option for things that might be ingested...

It should be fine, but the reason I don't use it is because it's not extended release. You have to mix Miracle-Gro with water and then apply every two weeks, which is a pain. I use Scots extended release... For my corn crops, I just scatter some granules along the furrows twice during the season: once when the corn is about a foot tall, and once when it's about to tassel.

If you have an Ace Hardware nearby they have a sale on Jobes Organic Vegetable and Tomato fertilizer through 2/26. 4 lbs for $4.99 (Walmart price is $7.95)

or if you have a large garden: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1
As low as $16.71 for 18 pounds of vegetable/tomato fertilizer with S&S

$9 vs $10 in Home Depot seems not to be a slick deal!

Then don't buy it. Look at it as 10% savings and no need to make trip to HD. I can also use Amazon credit card for purchase and save another 5%. I've seen deals on here for less. YOLO
