I think the AGON ultrawide (3440x1440) deal for $679 from last week (Amazon and Newegg) was a better deal. Only advantage the LG has spec-wise is the 144hz refresh rate (over the 100hz of the ultrawide). That I'm aware of at least.

But if you're not interested in an ultrawide and want a large format 1440p 16:9 gaming monitor, this looks good.

I had a 32" monitor and downgraded to a 27". If you haven't had a monitor that big, be aware that depending on how far you sit away it can be really big.

I almost bit on the Agon but I currently have a 32" (non Gsync 60hz VA panel) but looking at 16:9 32" side by side with a 35" 21:9 all 16:9 content would be significantly larger on the 32". and i also find the Agon to be abit too gamer-y
