The only possible reason for buying one of these is to whack yourself on the head using it as punishment for buying one.

Don't. Do. It.

1 year warranty has to be a lie since this was discontinued and support dropped many years ago, unless it's from dailysteals.
Also while this is one of the best manufactured hardware out there, sadly software hasn't been supported for last 4-5 years, don't expect to be able to use it to watch movies etc since there are very limited number of video player apps. It can definitely be bought as a toy for a child so he/she can look at pictures, etc, there are still bunch of kid games or learning apps in BB World, or as a fancy picture frame, but other than that don't expect much out of this. It's still much faster than any android tablet out there, and picture and sound quality is amazing, sadly BB never allowed android to run on this, if it did, I'd grab 5 at this price.

it has a built in video player - I have all kinds of MP4 movies on my 64GB - and those movies play good - it has pretty good sound through mediocre headphones as well -I can' justify buying another because of its limited functionality -or can I? :-/

Not that bad for a kids tab. Much easier to multitask. Kids have used these in the car the past couple of years and while limited there is some utility still. Used to be able to make video calls over WiFi w these which was useful even when the device was clearly eol.

You can also side-load some android apps. Had it as a a player for my kids (downloaded YouTube videos). Audio is very loud and clear, and the quality of the screen is great for what it is. My main gripe was it doesn't accept microSD cards

Ended up trading it in for one of those BestBuy $50 deals.

I use my 64GB BB for Ebooks and MP4 movies. Works great.

I like that I can map the BB to my PC and transfer files via Wi-Fi.

sideloading was disabled with last firmware upgrade. so basically useless. several existing apps (including youtube) stopped working.

This was years ago, above post says it might be disabled, but I'll check.
