I can only offer that I've owned 2 of these, buy a new one rather than pay as much for new blades after a few years of use. Very pleased with the shave quality, no issues.

It will not. I think Panasonic purposely does it that way forcing you to by the new cleaning station when you upgrade your shaver. My cleaning station from my Arc 4 doesn't work fro my Arc 5 either.

I just put new blades in my 2-3 year old Arc3 (ES-LT41) for like $15. Didn't replace the foils but didn't think I needed to since they were in good shape, and my battery still lasts a week or so. I'd been looking for a replacement but the blade prices seemed to have come down so I went that rout instead.

In any case, the Arc3 is the best shaver line I've found. I just tried my grandpa's new Arc4 and it's nice but not really any better, IMHO.

I'm not disagreeing, but I've never seen a need for the cleaning station. I use my Arc3 5 days a week, usually dry. I empty it after each shave (5 second process), rinse every other day or so (10 second process), and leave it open and out on the counter to air dry after rinsing. Maybe the cleaning stations are nice, but I don't seem to have any issues without one.

Hmm, there are really only two blades on the inside, so why is it called 3 blades??? Confused

Good to know. Last time I tried to find them for my older of the two, it was nearly $40 vs. new for $45 or something close to that on a deal. No cleaning station models.

Same for me, for 10+ years, that's all I've done. In fact, less than you describe, open and tap and blow it out about once a month.

Does the cleaning station just dry or does it actually clean?

Says only 65 points back. Is that $6.50..?

Note that this is the 10,000 cpm version, not the 13,000 cpm version (the Arc4 & 5 are 14,000 cpm).
