Been researching new cookware sets for the past month. This deal is not as good as it seems. The $599 regular price is fake. The normal price is in the mid $200s, just search 1948247 on Amazon you will find the exact same set. Also BEWARE this set is made in CHINA!. I have had bad luck with Chinese make cookware regardless of the brand name they stamp on it. The $199 seems like the best price for this set, but not for me, not from CHINA.

While the MSRP is inflated, this is still over $50 dollars cheaper than the best historical price for this item. Great find OP.

I've owned the lesser "unison" pans for over 5 years and they hold up great. This line replaced the "unison" line and are even heftier.

What have you found is a good deal?... I've been searching and seems like All-clad aluminum set seems to be the most durable, even cooking, and not heavy.
But I dont want shell out $800 10 pcs Stainless Steel set
Or $1300 for AllClad 10 pcs Copper-core set for myself yet.

Just looking for a set for AirB&B right now, probability non sticks pots and pans for $50 on sale.

i just got them for $159. Only screwy part is the sales taxes are "estimated" and they estimate based on the full retail price of $599 so the sales tax is almost $50. I think it will be adjusted later, but I'll keep y'all posted.

Quite honestly, it's not so much about a "good deal" so much as ""good quality at a good deal! Is it really a good deal if the cookware is in the trash in a year???? This particular set is still a good price, and Calphalon "Signature" series have been historically made in Toledo OH and have had great reviews. Not sure when they decided to make the switch to poor quality Chinese manufacturing. You can see this in the reviews as well. The overall reviews are high, but most recent (past year are poor), read most recent reviews on Amazon (1-star....) My research shows unfortunately Calphalon reviews have plummeted in past year, and their customer service doesn't respond to country of manufacture (wonder why...)

Cuisinart has responded to me stating that most all their cookware is also made in china, Except the "French Classic" series, worth a look and great reviews but will cost in the $500 range.

All-Clad, gets great reviews, but as you know prices are very high.

For AirB&B I would check out Costco or Sams Club, the have some NON-chinese sets in $150 range (varies by store), with good reviews.

Guess the days are gone when you can buy cookware and expect it to last 10-15 years, maybe just buy the the Costco or Sams Club and replace every few years. Seems from the reviews they are just as good anyway as the former top-name premium price brands (where now it seems you only pay for the name.)

Hope it helps. Happy Shopping! Let us know what you decide.

"unison" is made in USA.

Calphalon has several lines. Some made in USA and others made in China.

I bought some Chinese ones by mistake and they are terrible. My Toledo set is great. Over 20 years old now and working perfect.

For AirBNB, I recommend the Costco tri-clad set. We have them at our vacation rental. Very good and about 150 when they go on sale.

Thanks richviau for the nice info, most likely be Costco unless a Cheapy $50-80 send comes around lol. And when I make enough dough to splurge on myself, then will look into all-clad or whatever else exiting comes along.

Costco had a special vender come in for cookware, Hexclad. It was non stick but gave a good sear, lifetime warranty by vender as they are advertising, 3 size pans with lid and the extra wok with lid for $300. But I didn't need it at the time, but I read some amazon review mentioning the cooking layers can still get rub off.

Thanks shock96, I will be on look out for a discount on those triclad.

Wasn't this on sale at Macy's for $100 a little while ago? I picked up a set for $106.84 shipped with a free 12inch pan.

We bought Calphalon 14 Years ago. I went ahead on ordered these. I can't remember why we didn't get them replaced via warranty, I think homegirl forgot they were Lifetime warranty and has been throwing them away. We're down to 1 pot. I'm replacing them and registering them and making sure they get replaced under warranty if we need to.

Edit: Glad I didn't bite on that deal last week at Amazon with the extra 20% off I'm potentially saving 100 bucks off that deal.

Thanks! saved me another 20% off the price. I am too interested in how the Taxes will be figured out. I'll update once they ship and I get my final bill.

I have owned this set and they scratch so easily. Garbage cookware for their "best" line. Currently using the Calphalon stainless steel version. No evaluation on this set yet.
