Budget laptop advice

51 10 February 15, 2018 at 03:47 PM
My wife needs a touch screen laptop and I only have about $300 to $400 max spend.

I've been looking on FB market place and debating on a if there's anything new that's worth getting.

It's mainly used for basic office work and web browsing...

I've found some I5 5xxx/6xxx laptops and a few I7 4xxx/5xxx laptops

Are newer celeron pentium or even I3 laptops better than going with a 4th, 5th or 6th Gen processor??

One I found was I5 6200 with 6gb DDR4
Most are DDR3 Between 6-10gb ram

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Get a low cost i3 or i5 on the Dell Outlet with a decent discount code in play. For web browsing and office type stuff, you do not need anything beyond that and any fairly recent generation will do. I would stay away from Celeron or Pentium based machines.
