Sharing files on the same network

I bought the t-mobile router and turned it into a 68u. Then, I bought a 4tb western digital external and set it up so that I can access it throughout my house (the goal being one common spot for file sharing...)

I am able to access the entire drive and its folders if I go through "network"... However, when I click on "network locations", a bunch of folders are missing.

This is also a problem with my amazon fire tv where I was once able to view everything just fine in VLC player, now folders are missing (but again, I can see them on "network" through my pc...

Any ideas on how to fix? Also using merlin... newest beta...

the only thing I can think that changed is I combined basically two hard drives, which were once separate folders on the external and worked just fine, into one larger folder....

Might be a permissions/sharing settings issue of some kind. You may need to 'take ownership' of the files from the other hard drive.
