Most likely, you are getting a subsidized price provided by your local power company. The full price for the two pack is probably more like $16-$20 for those who don't have a power company subsidy.

I bought this in Costco's Westbury, Long Island, NY store a few months ago after a $2 utility rebate for $6. I believe the regular price is $8 for the package.

What electric companies subsidize prices at Costco? Mine sends out free variety packs of bulbs to customers who request them, but I've never heard of them subsidizing retail purchases. $7.99 for a 2-pack of second-tier brand bulbs doesn't seem too unlikely without any special programs.

Interesting. That's really cheap. Are there limits, and does that require rebate redemption after the fact?

great price for dimmables
Below average for dimming. Flickers at less than 30% brightness using my lutron caseta dimmer. And yes I did adjust the low end of my dimmer but it is still too bright. I don't mind since most of the bulbs are in my kitchen, but if you're using them for a different room it can be a problem

Many states have power companies that subsidize the cost of LED bulbs (as well as other efficient devices like a smart thermostat etc). Look up your local power company online and see the places where they offer their subsidy.
