Identical config [dell.com] at the Outlet with 20% off coupon now is $1155. I'd rather have a full year direct from Dell.

don't know about the international support part, but I have not have any issue with any Dell XPS Laptops, and I have owned a few of them throughout the years.

The refurb I got in from the outlet has a dead pixel on the left side of the screen... bright blue monster that no amount of massaging will work out Frown

I have had luck though with other outlet buys.

They do. As long as you buy/add in-home warranty, the only thing that's required once you move the laptop out of the country is an international transfer. Once that's registered (takes a few days), they will give you on-site warranty in the international location. Don't go for mail-in, since most countries outside USA don't have a mail-in option and they will flat out refuse. I have had dozens of laptops under my name that I have bought for family back in India over the last decade with no issues. The only caution I would add is their service has worsened progressively and the laptops are no longer as sturdy as they used to be. May I also add, I have literally had to use their warranty service on each one of my purchases. So in the end it paid off, but I have since moved on to the much more reliable Thinkpads for the past couple of years.

How much does it cost dell to add 512 gb more and make this 1 Tb? I would say nothing still these monopoly companies are squeezing money like any thing!

I imagine that the SSDs these use are among the most expensive variety. Dell doesn't make hdds

contact dell CS and tell them i want to extend the warranty. Keep getting different quotes for warranty until you get something like $40/year (premium service warranty).

Interesting. So is it best practice to not buy the premium warranty when you buy the laptop, but wait till after and then try to negotiate with a chat rep on it?
