If you need a heat pack, get a sock (non-sticky one preferred), put rice in.. Heat in microwave for 1m 15s.

Should last for like 10 mins or so

I just usually put a couple scoops of steam rice directly on my skin. It'll usually last for about a couple hours with the burn.

I usually just put the pot directly on the skin, lasts me at least 2 nights in the hospital. YMMV
