Great deal OP! +1 for all Bodum deals

I've used all sorts of coffee makers. There are three factors in what makes a coffee maker "good". Those are ease of use to achieve the best possible result consistently, the amount of time and effort it takes to use it, and the best possible brew you can get from the maker. Here are my personal ratings for the most common brewing methods (not counting espresso):

Pourover (this): Taste A+, Difficulty C, Time: B
Aeropress: Taste A, Difficulty A+, Time A
Moka Pot: Taste A+, Difficulty D, Time C
French Press: Taste B, Difficulty A+, Time A+
Drip: Taste D, Difficulty A, Time D

I use the Aeropress almost exclusively since my kid was born. It's just so simple to get good results every time. Pourover can make better coffee, but it's difficult to get the best result out of each brew. Sort of a bummer when you mess up the pour, the bloom, or the brew time and get a bad result. Also there are permanent filters for the Aeropress that are far more effective than any permanent filters available for any pourover maker (since the Aeropress's filter is flat and much smaller). Pourover also absolutely requires a nice pouring vessel to do the pour right. Gooseneck kettles are popular, but that's an added cost.

Got one last time. Not as nice as a chemex but when you use chemex filters it's just as good!

Its sturdy glass but I still wouldnt bang it around. Think of a nice wine glass. Its thin and sturdy but its gonna shatter if you tip it over although since this is bottom heavy that shouldnt happen unless you wave your arms around like a maniac.

I got one in October and tipped it over on the counter a few weeks ago and it shattered. Still I liked it enough that for 15 bucks I'll pick another one up and be more careful.
