Audible: First Book in a series sale from $4.95

Got an email from Audible that there is a first book in a series sale going on until 2/25. Picked up Outlander for $6.95 and the first book in the Iron Druid Chronicles for $4.95. That's as far as I got but there are probably a lot of good titles to be had rather than using credits.

Indeed, there are three books from the Ender series on the list. I'd get them if I didn't have them on already.

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss is $4.95. That was a really good read.

Storm Front (First of the Dresden Files) is on there. Not sure the price since I already own it.

I bought:
The Name of the Wind
On Basilisk Station (Honor Harrington #1)
Old Man's War
The Farseer: Assassin's Apprentice (my favorite main character in any fantasy series)
Theft of Swords

All were under $7. I've only gotten through 15 of the 100 pages of Sci-fi and fantasy . . .

Except it's been almost 7 years since book 2. Book 3 may never arrive. Book 2 was not as good as book 1 IMO with a weird plot twist that might have led to Rothfuss's writer block.

Red Rising, Mistborn, and We are Legion are really good series I have listened to highly recommend.

Is this a member-exclusive deal? I clicked on Altered Carbon and it's still priced at $30. (I'm not a Gold Audible member)

Hopeful for book 3 within a few years. I thought book 2 was still pretty good but it didn't quite live up to book 1.

I'm currently reading book 2 of The Stormlight Archive. After book 3 I'll give Mistborn a shot.

Storm Front looks to be $13.99, Love the Dresden series but I got that one off Overdrive

They're trying to call American Gods the first of a series? I've never heard of Neil Gaiman writing a series.

No. This is neckbeard fantasy at it's worst. The main character might as well have been wearing a fedora.

Anansi Boys is the second book. Not a direct sequel to the story of AG, but it is about Anansi (from AG) and his sons.
