Staples has the Dell 13567-3465BLK on sale for $349.99. This is a basic laptop for checking emails or internet surfing and the SSD will make for faster start ups. No, it doesn't have HD resolution, nor is it thin and light, but not everyone needs that. This is a decent price for these specs.

Might be a good idea to include "HD" in the title, especially if he went to the trouble of including it in the notes - like it was known that might cause a fuss

This laptop specs can handle 1080p easily. If you were to use it on a desk regularly, having it set up with an extra monitor would increase productivity a lot.

i'm almost sure it will drive a 1080P monitor, it's just that the screen isn't 1080P

1080p basic laptops have been $350 and less for almost 2 years now (Acer e15 for example), so yeah I agree that even at this price point it's a deal breaker to still have 768 res

"No, it doesn't have HD resolution" lol, no laptop built probably the last 15 years has not had HD screens!
Yup 720p seems to be where battery life, production cost, and usability for streaming videos, and reading emails is optimal.

This is a great laptop for the price. Very rare to find a sub $400 laptop with a SSD. Anyone know if it has a extra bay for more storage?

It's true but considering 8gb of ddr4 2400hz costs almost $100 right now, this is a steal. And at 720p it actually makes the battery lasts a bit longer and for tasks like streaming videos on the go, it's not a big compromise if you have another monitor when you need it for productivity.
