I got my sister the 55" version of this TV (55MU6290FXZA). The tuner is terrible. Hers had an issue where the picture would pixelate/freeze and the audio would cut out every few seconds when tuned to channel 5.1 (WEWS-DT in the Cleveland, OH area). We returned this TV for a 55" LG 55UJ6200 that displays channel 5.1 just fine. The channel 5 signal is very strong at her place.

But... I can't get Dolby 5.1 surround sound to work through the optical port on the LG :-(. The Dolby 5.1 worked and sounded spectacular through the optical port on the Sammy. I had to get one of these things (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...TF8&psc=1) to get stereo sound through her Panasonic SA-PT770 surround sound receiver connected to the LG and set the audio mode on the LG TV to PCM and use the analog stereo in on the surround sound receiver.

So... I basically traded one issue for another.

On Walmart at 360 reviews, it has an average of 4.5 stars. If this happened to all those TV's I don't think it the average score would be that high

Very nice indeed. How'd you pull that off? I thought all stock was pretty much exhausted several weeks ago. I must have gotten one of the last within 100 miles of me, and they were still all listed at $169+ at the time.

Is this really that great of a price? There's a 55 inch on the FP for cheaper and I got the TCL from target for $270 which is also a smart 43 inch tv.

I bought the 55" of this tv as well, right after Xmas, from Samsung directly. We are very pleased with it. Perhaps your sister's set is defective, but I wouldn't say they all are, because ours has given us no problems at all, including the tuner.
