What does it mean to have a range from 6.6 to 17lb payload?

$179? That has to be a mistook! What kind of job does one have to have to afford that? I've been taking pictures since 1977.....only once did I use a tripod. Buckingham Fountain at night! $50 max.....maybe. But then....would I ever use it?
Not sure if trolling or not

Can handle weight up to 17lb depending on setup with counterbalance and such

This is a video tripod with fluid head and seems similar in design to the more professionally styled ones which can cost as much just for the head. Don't know the quality of this but price may be an indication that it's not that good but good enough quality for light use.

$50 in 1977 would be worth a little over $200 in 2018.
