Micro Center has an AOC AG271UG 27" IPS 4K monitor with G-Sync for $399.99. This is the same deal as the Newegg one from last week (which expired but was on FP), but this one is from Microcenter.

The only thing that might be a negative is that it is only 60Hz, but very few high end video cards can output that at 4K while gaming in ultra settings anyways.

I got three open box Dell 144hz 27" 1440p monitors this week for $369 each.

4k just isn't there yet for gaming.

Ignore these 2 lame comments. If you don't want a 4k monitor then you don't want it. No need to comment stupid stuff (comment 1) and unrelated stuff (comment 2).

Yes, buy 10 of them, best monitor evar. laugh out loud

If you don't want to deal with 60hz gaming, I think the 40" AOC ($799 retail, $479 on sale at BB) is the better product.

Why? It was on sale for $399 all last week, ended Sunday (as Best Buy sales always change Sundays).

Was $349 around BF. They are incredible panels, good luck. No you can't have one...you'd mess up my racing games.

Maybe your spec isn't there for yet, 4k is worth enough playing if u got enough parts to push

Why not just set resolution to 1080p on the 4k monitor when gaming?

the math says it should be the same since it's exactly 4x1080, but i have a 4k panel and in 1080p mode i can tell the difference. edges are just a bit blurrier, as is text.

4k gaming would definitely be nice. at my age, i value picture quality, resolution, and smoothness far more than sheer fps / hz.

for me, 4k, IPS, gsync, @ 60hz is ideal (well, maybe @ 75hz, but minor quibble). that is a res & hz that is definitely high end without requiring constant upgrades of hardware to maintain. a single 1080ti can keep that maxed out, and even a regular 1080 can probably hang a bit with some downturns.

Yes, thats why I suggest 1080p, as its an even multiple from 4k so it's not scaled in games.
Absolutely do not run 1080p on a 27"monitor for text / computer use, it will look horrible.

This is cool but waiting for the sweet-spot of G-Sync, 2K at 100hz for around $500.00 or less.

The Dell from last week was ips as well with 144hz. No 4k but still the same price. I should have jumped on that. 1440p 144hz is better than 4k60hz.
