If you live anywhere with a winter, you may want to avoid vantrue. Mine wouldn't operate if I left it in the car when it was below 23°F. Vantrue suggests that you bring it inside with you. That seemed painful to do for an entire season (I live in Upstate NY), so vantrue refunded me. Great camera otherwise, good deal if you need dual cameras.

I had another model of this company and i ran into a problem with the plate separating that was glued on the front. I also ran into a problem of after very long use (year) the recording seemed to have a very off white balance like the sensor was now taking in to much light making it hard to make out images. Have they fixed these issues? Because the camera was easy to work.

23f isn't even that cold. My yi dash cam has been working fine even when I went to whistler where it dropped down to 15f

The only apparent difference between the 2 is, N2 Pro has 4 small IR illuminating lamps/diodes near the Rear camera lens, so provide an illumination during totally dark night hours but with N2 doesn't so if you are an Uber driver, you need some sort of internal cabin light to show your passengers in a dark road,

During the daytime, the rear camera on both show the driver and cabin well but seems you can't see much out side of rear view as auto exposure feature of camera sets the light for dark internal cabin and therefore out side is washed out with light.

I decided to pull the trigger on this and at this price, as I need it for a family member that is not a taxi/Uber driver and has a convertible car with top mostly down. So cabin is well lighted during the day or when there is ambient light at night. Also this dashcam has one of the best Mic that actually works to record sound, with not the best, but a very decent sensor for video and a good parking mode. So for given price I don't think I could do any better for a dual dash camera that is useful for a convertible car.

The only thing a buyer of this camera needs to be aware of is its lower top body material for heat, specially direct sun light (Not merely the cabin heat). I am planning to use metal heat tapped on top of the unit that reflects the sun rays and hopefully saves the camera. The other option is to remove it when leaving car parked during a hot summer daytime outside.
