This looks just like the desktop I bought from them a few weeks back. The one I got was $600 and had 16g RAM, 512 SSD/1T HDD, and a GTX 1060 6GB. Same chip though.

They had some shipping issues so it came a bit late but otherwise it is pretty solid with no issues thus far. Even came with a mouse and keyboard when the E-bay listing said it wouldn't!

been considering making my own desktop with a ryzen APU, I primarily just need computing power for chemistry/physics simulations. However, I need some kind of graphics card because I have multiple monitors that I look at data with, and I would like to get a 4k/ 2k monitor(s).

not super big into gaming, but low noise and power consumption would be a plus.
That's a great idea for your usage. Just make sure you get high frequency memory to avoid extensive bottlenecking on the iGPU.

Doesn't GTX 970 alone cost $350 +?

Would I be able to buy this and insert my existing EVGA GTX 1070? I am running an E-GPU" setup currently tied to a mobile processor, so obviously facing bottle-necking on performance.

Sure. You could pop out the 970 and in a 1070 no problem. Turn around and sell the 970. Nice machine for VERY little.

Ya I picked up that same deal. So far I'm quite satisfied with it. This looks like they used the same case and chip, but ya otherwise I didn't have any issues with the seller.

I don't think leaving a comment is necessary for voting up a deal you like. I've done it plenty before. Commenting is optional and there are lots of people here for years with legit accounts and hardly any posts that I'm sure vote on the stuff they think are good deals all the time. Gotta think there are probably like millions of people on this forum. Just my $0.02 anyway.
