You should add that this is only for Prime credit card holders, not all Prime members.

Just to clarify: I don't think this card is the same as the "Amazon Store Card" via Synchrony Bank. I tried to use that card this morning for a PrimeNow order for Whole Foods Market and it wouldn't accept it.

So use the card for 5% CB in store.
With delivery pay with Amazon GC balance
purchased with 5% rewards. Seems a wash.

I just applied for it and downgraded my AMEX blue cash preferred to the no-fee version, I wonder how many people did that today.

I don't think so since it's not a visa card. But if you have the the Amazon Rewards Visa Card, the non-Prime version of the card, it will earn 3% back at Whole Foods and Amazon.com

I also wanted to point something out for people that mostly shop at WF and currently have an AMEX Blue Cash Preferred. The AMEX card gets 6% cash back at supermarkets while the Amazon card gets 5% at WF. However, it's important to note that with the AMEX card your supermarket purchases that are eligible for the 6% cashback are capped at $6,000. Assuming you spent that whole $6k, the extra 1% you're getting is still only $60 more than the Amazon card would get you. AMEX BCP has a $95 annual fee so it doesn't make sense in most circumstances to keep it if you primarily shop at WF.

It's based on the account. I have a Prime card, but no Prime. So even though I have the Prime version, I'll only get 3%.
