SDSSDHII-960G-G25

Seems like the price has gone way down on these. Something newer/better must be right around the corner.

(note: apologies if reposted, I did search and last time i saw posted was in december)

Looks like a solid deal. I am still managing with 500gb but this would certainly be sweet!

Per CamelCamelCamel, this SSD was $182.99 on Nov 26, 2016. Looks like I will be waiting a while longer as I am not paying $47 more than it was 15 months ago.

This Has even more space than the largest mechanical drive !
Nope. Disk drives can be bought with 10Tb. That's over 10x as much

If you can wait another 15 months, you probably don't need one at all.

Anecdotal - I've had many SSD brands over the years - Crucial, Samsung, PNY, etc. The only SSD I have ever had die on me was a Sandisk Ultra II I used as the boot drive in my home server. May have just gotten unlucky but I don't buy Sandisk anymore.

When people start buying more notebooks/pcs instead of phones/tablets.

I put the 1tb version in my PS4 Pro. Load times between areas in the Witcher are improved, nothing amazing - and it may be placebo affect - but pop in seems reduced. Lots of other small benefits too - system menus are snappy, system starts quicker, etc. I had a lot of BB reward certificates otherwise wouldn't have done it - but I'm pleased with the result.
