Dang, last year I bought 1070 for the same price. Anyone has any ideas when prices would go down again?

Omg, these prices are absurd. I'm so glad I was able to that Walmart deal on the hp desktop that came with a 3GB 1060 for $400.

Looking at current profitability for mining? Not any time soon. Maybe once the new gen comes out in a few months miners will dump all their older cards on eBay or something and drive prices down with a glut of used (and abused) cards.

Nope just for light gaming and maybe little vr. Wanted a1050ti for a cheap build, but all decent are sold out. The ones that are for sale are outrageously expensive. EBay used are no better.

I don't want a used card and have the change to deal with broken stuff or to RMA... but from what I hear from people that mine is that they're not going to ever stop. There's always going to be crypto that can be mined... ..etherium today some new hotness crypto tomorrow. =(
