This is the lowest price I've seen for this monitor. Why thumb down?

Isn't it cheaper at Newegg w/ no sales tax for most? And I think it's been even cheaper... https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...5650900sbe

I didn't TD but price in title would be good. And my fault, I guess the Freesync version is cheaper than G-sync version. I don't know the diff, but i was considering a 21:9 for gaming room.

Typically 34" curved ultrawides should be 1440p.

This is 1080p, so the font might be a bit large for some.

However, this does have G-Sync, but you're better off saving for a 1440p monitor with G-Sync if you're going to game.

Personally, 1440p matters more to me than G-Sync+1080p.

G-Sync only works for Nvidia cards.
FreeSync only works for AMD cards

This is a good deal on a 34" curved ultrawide, 1440p, and FreeSync - https://m.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-34...2396024266

This is a good deal. 1440p on 34" is not necessary for gaming and movie/TV shows. Even for web browsing, the 1440p Alienware AW3418DW I have right now the font is a bit too small at the distance away I sit so I think I'd prefer this screen right here which is the same panel that Alienware uses in their AW3418HW model. 1440p is 120hz overclocked and the 1080p is 166hz overclocked.

Good price here "new" from Costco which means the Citi Anywhere card extended warranty will make this 3 years total.

thx but i dont really need 1440p since I plan to use it mostly for arcade-type gaming. I have an HP Spectre 4k 32in for my daily usage. I was going to add a 21:9 just for gaming like Darius Burst for the room (something kinda cheap since I have a 4K HDR tv for console gaming).

In order to avoid sales tax. I've decided to buy it from newegg using citi credit card. Then do a price rewind.

Not sure why all the down votes. Yes, I know this isn't a 1440p, but not everyone wants to save up. I bought this as a gift, recipient was happy, and it was a great upgrade for them. Thought someone else might find the info useful as the lowest price for this I found before was $699.

Some people are uninformed and think 1440p is absolutely necessary. When it can harm your gaming performance as well as making the font too small to read for many, especially considering how further back you sit with these compared to 24" screens.

This is definitely the lowest price this has been at and Amazon has price-matched them now.

Costco you can always return if it dies though, even years down the line.

Also this LG uses the same panel as the Alienware AW3418HW, which you can usually get for about $800-$1000: http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sn...redirect=1

actually was about to order then saw resolution. I'm with the others saying it should be at least 1440p if not 4k. If you are going to pay high end pricing for a feature like G-sync having that low resolution seems worthless to me, but to each their own.
