A bad Dell will never be a good Dell. However, a good Dell will almost always be a good Dell.

Dell doesn't have a good track record for fixing something that is wrong. Run the dell hardware diagnostic on any dell PC the day your open the box.

Chat with them and tell them you are considering returning...especially since it's now cheaper. They most likely will refund you some money, as it costs them a fair amount of money to process the return and get the item repackaged for sale again. It may not be $40, but it should be at least $20 or $30.

Does Dell charge a restocking fee to return?
