I posted this deal https://slickdeals.net/f/11292703-intex-giant-bellows-foot-pump-12-5-3-09-amazon-add-on-item?v=1 yesterday but it went out of stock and the thread was marked expired. It now appears to be back in stock and slightly cheaper at $2.99! Here are the details from the thread I posted yesterday

After building this with my kids over the weekend https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/edu/teac...p-rockets/ , I decided that a foot pump would make it much easier to use.

A quick amazon search brought up this foot pump, at a fraction of the price of the rest. I cannot speak to the quality, but if I get at least 5 or 6 stomps out of it, it will be worth it , as re-inflating the 2 liter each time is a huge pain!

It is an add on item, but if you have the amazon music app, alexa, etc.. you can simply add it to your cart and ask alexa "buy a foot pump" and she should find it from your cart. I hope this helps someone!

Haha. True. I also like to build things. Maybe that's why I'm an engineer.

I already own one of these and it is great! When the kids need a swimming pool float blown up this is my go to. This thing isn't as good as a air compressor. Then again you aren't as likely to pop something either. It's perfect to keep in the car for small stuff because it compacts down flat.

I don't recommend using something not designed for food use.

Reason? I mean the old fashion way is to use a straw and your mouth. I would think this would be more sanitary no?

So long as I don't use the pump for anything else besides food, can't see an issue.

Question becomes if it'd even be good at the task, which I have doubts ha.

I think it would be ok for food if you washed it every time with soap. I wouldn't put this in a dishwasher or heat because of BPAs.

Why would you even need to wash it? Its not a food item. All you are doing is putting the pointy nozzles into the plastic bag to suck out air. It can be laden with BPA, which does not affect anything at all.

And if at all you want wash it, just wash the nozzles and use it.
