Anyone have recommendations on where to stay/what to do in El Salvador? San Salvador or San Miguel? Any beach towns which would be nice?

man looking for something similar for Nicaragua. Safest place in Central America and amazing beaches, volcanos, even jungles up north ... great and safe place to visit unlike El Salvador ...

I would stay away ... almost no safe places to stay

Maybe some SD's have family out there. Mexico in the beach towns is pretty and clean.

Got fam in El Salvador, would not recommend, unless you stay in the beach resorts ONLY. Which are very safe.

There is no reason to travel to El Salvador. You want to see some Salvadorans , just come down to Rampart area of Los Angeles. Their are good Pupusa restaurants around Rampart as well. You fam down there, save the money and immigrate them to Canada.
