I've owned several of these and 1080 ti FE and have found them to OC better than non reference cards. Small sample size but curious if others have had similar experience?

Why would they make their own cards 10% more and then make it slower that absolutely makes no sense if anything should be the opposite

They clock them slower. I have found they overclock better.

Because why would EVGA build Nvidia cards if Nvidia is going to compete with them? I already explained that in the post you quoted.
