I bought one already.. had $130 worth Staples gift cards which I bought using Discover Rewards in the past few weeks ago when this was on sale at Staples for $129.99. Saved around $25 that way.
I still don't understand why people like 27" at 1080p. You can see pixels from normal viewing distance. I guess for games it's fine, but for productivity and general use, vertical screen real estate is the most important thing. I have a 25" 1440p Dell and I love it.
Some people, like me, have have bad eyes. I don't know how 1080p looks on a 27", but on 24" its perfect. For people like me, lower resolution helps and having a monitor with native 1080p resolution gives the best display without any interpolation artifacts.
I bought this monitor from Quill on Black Friday for $99.99. Plugged it in and it was terrible! Never got the colors right or the sharpness. Even trying the grays, everything seemed washed out. I finally returned it.
Perhaps I got a bad one but the experience was not good. Having said all that, Best Buy had the S2718HN on sale that week for I believe $179. I looked at it in the store and it was outstanding! Buy the time I decide to buy it, the sale was over but if you can hold out for that one, you will not be disappointed!
So now the deal editors will put stuff on the frontpage that has no description of the product, just a link? SlickDeals is rapidly going to lose its usefulness if this is the new normal.

This thread is not on the Front Page yet at the moment If you're seeing it on your front page, then likely you have your personalized front page settings set to pull in deals from this category once they hit popular deals. You can tell which are actual front page (blue) and which deals are 'personalized' to match categories you chose (peach/orange).

Ah thanks for explaining that, I thought the personalized categories only changed the ranking of the deals marked frontpage, didn't realize it could promote those that aren't marked.

You're welcome. And yes it's to bring threads from popular deals onto your own front page, for the categories you chose. It doesn't change the ranking, per se, just mixes the ones from your categories in with the regular Front Page deals.
