Is Akaso any good? Obviously a syma drone but is it rebranded or clone?
I seen a x8c for cheap I passed on cause I figured it for a lousy knock off.

Good price with a camera. Many Syma clones are just as good as the original but I have no personal experience with this brand.

I can't speak of flying it because I only flew it for a couple minutes. I didn't care for this clone. I'm used to flying the regular syma x5c-1 and this one seemed sort of laggy on the controls. I thought it had something to do with the transmitter gymbals, like they weren't as responsive.

I figured it wasn't an issue because I could just bind it with my syma transmitter and find out if that solved the lag issue-except it wouldn't bind. This quad Is Not an exact clone of the syma, the transmitter is not exactly the same.

I sold mine after flying it for two minutes.

The camera is not the same as the Syma, I found hidden specs- says 1.3 mp, no go- forget it- as sh@tty as the original is, this is far worse. No Wonder it isn't listed on Amazon.

skip this one. I like cheap and sd deals on quads, but I don't buy stuff that is truly only worth the sale price or less. This particular knockoff is Junk. The Akaso quad was so unresponsive to the controls that I refused to fly it indoors even though I fly my Syma X5C-1 inside all the time. I thought it would end up flying into a wall with it's jerky movement. 2 minutes, landed and this one is gone....

This is almost the same price as a Syma X5A-1, but with a camera. That's not bad at all. If you're complaining about the camera on a $17 drone, you don't have any nice drones. This is the perfect type of drone for practice.

I'm probably confused, so you've personally flown all these quads? Including the Akaso? I have. How on earth do you know if it's a good quad for practice? Guessing?

A piece of junk is a piece of junk no matter what it costs, just like a junk knock off of the mavic that flys poorly at 1/2 the price may not be worth it either.

And handing a bad flying quad to a beginner is not a great idea. I don't care if it's a toy quad or as you so elegantly put it "nice drones."
