iPhone would be fine without the fan.

Just another heads up, this will charge all compatible iPhones at a MAXIMUM OF 5 WATTS, not the more-recently enabled 7.5W that iOS 11.2 allows.

If you're looking for those, you specifically have to search for "7.5W wireless charger" at Amazon, or it needs to explicitly state "7.5W charging for iPhone X and iPhone 8/8 Plus."

There's lot of waste energy in wireless charging which turns in to heat. Heat is bad for the battery so it's preferable to have a fan on wireless charger. If I had QC I'd put my phone in front of a fan.

Reading a review, the fan turns off once in 100% level, leaving the phone in 90F.

To use QC you must have a QC capable power adapter and also use a data USB cable instead of a regular charge-only cable.

Doesn't look like it's WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) certified device. After having all sorts of issues (e.g. wireless charging not activating) with a non-certified ones, I'd stick with the ones that has been WPC certified, like Samsung Qi Wireless chargers.

You can search it here: https://www.wirelesspowerconsorti...ts/search/

Will this charge through a metal plate for a magnet mount? Probably not.

None of the wireless charges will charge thru a magnetic/metal plate. I have tried on multiple chargers and it does not work. The trick is to move the plate higher near the camera, leaving enough space on the lower back of the phone thru where the wireless charging will happen. Works for me. I use a iphone X

The Moto Z line requires a magnetic back plate to enable wireless charging, so I'm a little lost there. LOL

I bought one and returned it after using it like 3 days. The charging speed was ok, but the fan is a bit annoyingly quiet and bothers you enough. I was like why do i even need the fan when my note 8 was not even getting hot when it was being wirelessly charged. Thus, if you are ear sensitive, pass this
