2 door sensors, 1 motion sensor ~$60
Still have to pay for ADT service.
Putting the tablet at ~$240. Unknown if tablet even works if you don't pay for ADT service.
Not a good deal to me.

Seems like absurdly overpriced Z-Wave stuff that only adds the ADT name for old people to trust. Not a deal aimed at the typical SD user.

Oof. With as much as Smartthings has been down the past few months, I sure wouldn't trust them to be part of my security system.

This is completely wireless so if your keypad hooks up to a panel/controller then it's not going to work .

thumb down even great sale price.
You have to use ADT device to get ADT alert and support, other z-wave device won't work (you can add them for control but won't work for alarm alert monitor).

Every now and then my SmartThings hope b stopped responding few of my devices, how can I believe that it would secure me. Don't want to completely believe it

Also should there be a monthly subscriptions required for this package, will the tab work without the subscription

Yes, it'll work without a subscription (at which point, it's no better than the non-ADT version of the ST hub and sensors for home monitoring). You can activate it month-to-month through the ST app.

The system isn't polished - they just shoe-horned ADT's security stuff on top of ST. If you're having problems, you have two avenues of support (ADT and ST), both of which will point fingers at one another. For example, during on-boarding, ST correctly detected X number of sensors - but the ADT portion double counted them. The service wouldn't let me continue with activation because "half" of the sensors weren't successfully registering open/close activities. ST told me it was ADT's fault, ADT said it was ST's...so I ended up having to manually delete each of those sensors, and re-register them with both ST and ADT. Even though this is a good price, it's still pretty bad.
