Family Handyman is great, been getting it for 15-20 years, and this is about the best price I've seen for it. Hardly ever seems to go on sale.
I have the April 2016 issue here on my desk because it has an article on how to install solid oak handrails that I'm about to use soon. From its front cover:
Expert Tips for Outdoor Lighting
7 Solutions for a Soggy Yard
Fix a Patio Door
10 Tips for Buying a Fridge
Build a Garden Bench

Plus all kinds of tips and product reviews. Maybe check them out at your local library before committing. But if you own a house and can do things yourself (or would like to learn how), it's a great magazine.

Does not appear to me that Family Handyman is included even thought it shows the magazine as one of the selections.

What do we get from the family handyman?
Do they teach you step by step how to build/fix stuffs around the house?

I don't get the math here for the Family Handyman magazine.

1 year - 8 issues
2 year - 16 issues
3 year - 24 issues
4 year - 44 issues????

20 extra issues?

Bought a year of family handyman for $7 just to check it out, and if I like it I'll renew it. My only other magazine subscription is Woodworkers Journal and I thought it kind of sucked. This looks more in tune to what I want though so I'm hoping to renew when it runs out. Thanks for the deal.

Family Handyman is okay, if you can get past the 30 plus pages of ads.

Every once in a while they have a good project to build, then one that makes no sense at all. Maybe someone can tell me what this month's "Wave Bench" is good for? (They don't bother to tell)

I would love the mag if there was much less ads, and more projects. I would pay 4 times what they ask for a bunch of projects every month.

No Pharmaceutical ads either, those poisons are already advertised constantly everywhere else.

Kinda off topic, but is anyone getting magazines they didnt order? I get GQ, wired and ESPN every month. Im not being charged for them, but i dont read them either so id rather not even get them. I assume im on some list from a previous slickdeal or something like that.
