These Canon dslr's do a very good job with auto focus when using video. Excellent all around entry level camera. Suggested added lenses (if needed) are the 50mm prime and the 55-250mm for great value and performance.

Any insight on if this is a good deal or if I should wait for better? Looking to get into a beginner DSLR. Thanks!

Beginner DSLR, definitely go with this. It's a great camera to learn the basics with. I bought the bundle that comes with the 18-55mm and 75-300mm for $500. This is a great deal for a brand new. Once you learn more about photography you can always upgrade.

it's okay. DSLR's generally don't have excellent built-in mic quality but this does the job.

I agree with Ace that this is a good starter DSLR, but for a zoom lens, I recommend the 55-250 stm. Do some research for yourself, but If I remember correctly, it is just a more modern lens design than the 75-300 as far as focusing and image stabilization. It's my favorite lens, even over the nifty fifty.

I got mine with two lenses, NIB from Fry's for around $300. If you can wait, they put it on the promo codes about once a month. I haven't seen it drop to $300 in a while, but $329 it does routinely.

You get it for 350$-400$ with another lens 70-300. I got the 350$ deal two months back. And this camera is not good for videos.

Fantastic price for this camera. I started with the canon t6i and it's great beginner camera.
