God I like this deal but no cheap accidental coverage. Frown

I can't trust my kids to keep a laptop safe for 2-3 years

Decent deal..although with the recent deals we have seen..laptop with i7 and 1060 isn't a slick deal unless it's in the 800$ range

Thats a little too slick. Youd be lucky to find an i5 7300 1060 in the 800 range.

I got mine for 700 a few months back and it has never been close to that since.

Not to mention the i7 7700..

Thr dif between the i5 and i7 for gaming is tiny neway. But GL finding it anywhere near 800

Is this deal gonna last one more day or when does it end?? Its much better than the helios 300 especially they are the same price but this one has more futures and better build quality
Is it supposed to be good deal or just normal price? Because im thinking of buying this one and can't wait 5 more months for next generation

There was a deal from costco Dell Inspiron 7000 gaming 7577 recently for 900 but it is 1060 Max-Q which is comparatively weaker than the original one. I personally would not recommend it as the one I bought gave up(Video card fan broke) after 5 hours of gaming. So, I guess this deal still stands good if you consider it is a full 1060 and strong build as well

Might find a slightly better deal on the dell outlet store for similar specs but no ssd kinda sucks for this at this price range.

My experience and most other experience woth the 7577 have been really good. Unfortunate yours had such a big problem. Either way both the predator and the 7577 are great deals for the price right now

What is difference between helios 300 for same price? Even no ssd. Why is slick?

Yeah true, But Max-Q design has its limitations when going for intense gaming sessions.

I've had the helios 300 since it cost me $900 (iirc) on prime day last year, acer makes a great laptop I have had zero issues with it so far the only thing I have added was an additional ssd for more capacity.

The specs are super close to this one the biggest thing is I got a 256gb ssd instead of the 1tb drive.

I've probably gamed more than 200 hours on this laptop and put a lot more time than that putting heavy workloads on it via vmware workstation. I've also traveled with it for work overnight several times a month, it's held up well through may airports/hotels etc.

The most common way I game on it is to carry a wireless controller (xbone or nvidia) and just hook it up to TVs in hotels via hdmi to play whatever steam games I have loaded (lately been playing through Shadow of War).

If you can wait i'd hold out I think this laptop will get into the $900 range again either on prime day this year or some super duper sale at microcenter etc...

comparing with helios 300: better network adapter, 4 ram slots vs 2, slightly easier to upgrade, sub woofer though not the best but deserves a mention, better overall build quality, better screen brighter screen, better keyboard, keyboard visualization options, better touch pad etc among others. I agree it would have been a no brain-er if it were a 1070 and an ssd on the same price but to get such a deal soon is the point. But with 100 more bucks you can buy an NVME SSD separately on newegg and slide it in here easily.
