Seems like a pretty reasonable deal for a full starter 5.1 setup.. but keep in mind you will need an actual 5.1 receiver to run these.

Looks like a pretty decent inexpensive kit. Doesn't appear that the subwoofer digs very low however at only 45hz. Though for the price it should do the trick.

It looks like this includes everything except for a reciever. So a basic 5.1 receiver from what I can see. As well as anything to connect it to it's sources. HDMI cables or perhaps optical cables.

The subwoofer of the Yamaha is only 100 watts compared to 200 watts on the Harman Kardon.
The satellites of the Yamaha are 2.5" and Harman are 3".
You are also saving $20 + tax on the harman and IMO harman will sound alot better/clear.

So Im struggling to find a speaker solution that works with my new TV.
The TV is wider than the entertainment center, these seem to be 4'' tall. Would they work sitting in front of the TV?

Entertainment center? Or TV stand? Because I haven't seen an entertainment center in years.

The center speaker can go on top of, or below the tv. The side speakers go, well, on the side. You have a TON of fudge room with those, from right next to your tv, to 10 feet on either side, you just have to set your receiver up properly, which is easy, since (almost) all modern receivers allow you to plug a microphone in to to ease set-up.

The rear speakers go preferably behind you in your listening environment, but even is fine (damn, I'm on mobile and didn't check if these were monopole or dipole), just aim them forward/ toward you depending on pole. The subwoofer, the .1 isn't for noise, it's job is to move air and create a WHOOMPH , I personally keep mine lower than it ought to be, with the center channel higher, as I'm going deaf, and need clearer speech than more powerful explosions. Anyway, the subwoofer can pretty much go anywhere, but keep it away from your tv, and a foot or more from a wall(if possible).

are these the ones that were just on here a few weeks ago? If so, I ordered 2 sets and the boxes look nice sitting in my living room.

Haven't had a chance to open them and try them out.
