I was looking at this over the weekend and am glad I didn't pull the trigger. The price dropped from $159 to $119 today. Seems like a solid deal for good tools. Some stores around me are already out of stock.

Price will depend on your city/zip code. If you don't see the $119 price, click to check other stores and see if any near you have stock then add to cart to see if price dropped to $119

Just be sure to register for the LSA right away. If you want that lifetime warranty you only have so long to activate it.

$119 is 25% off of $159, so I would guess that these are just starting their clearance markdowns. If so, the price and availability shown online will not be accurate and you'll have to physically check in-store to see if your location is clearing them out at this price...or better.

FYI: bought this set last year and ended up returning it due to a split second delay when you first hit the trigger. Might not sound like much but it drove me crazy. I saw a YouTube review on it where it mentioned this exact thing but decided to buy anyway. I tried to ignore but it eventually ended up being a deal breaker for me. It seems to happen only when it's "cold." If you use for a sec, put it down, and use it again then it's fine. It's when you don't operate for a few minutes that out will get the delay again.

Ridgid tools are quite good quality. No, they aren't the very best, but definitely better than entry level craftsman or ryobi tools, but are typically only marginally more expensive if you wait for a sale.

They also come with a LIFETIME warranty if you register them, and for anyone that doesn't know...the lithium batteries that aren't sold individually but come as part of a kit ARE included in the lifetime warranty, so you'll be covered when they eventually do go bad Big Grin

* I've had a RIDGID impact wrench for years and it's been a workhorse. Great quality, good value.

Yes, I think so. Just as good as Milwaukee if you ask me.

I have this set and it's been great for me. My father-in-law purchased one as well and we registered the LSA in my son's name, so it will be around for a while!

The set listed is the previous generation 4X. The latest and much better, generation 5X drill is more expensive. This still looks like a good deal, but just know what you are buying.
THe batteries are probably worth close to $100

I got a Kobalt Starter Kit for the same price. Although the Kobalt is brushless, it probably doesn't matter much. Going to return it and purchase this one.

FYI Ridgid Gen5X is brushless and more powerful. This is the older 4X version.
