Seem to be that price everywhere, so why is it a deal?

This has been $89 at Frys multiple times in the past. Currently they don't have it on sale. Unless you need it immediately otherwise.

I bought the 4.50 last year around this time. Biggest pieces of garbage and letdown I had ever purchased for being uncomfortable and poor sound quality. I returned mine and bought a pair of QC35. Best audio decision I have ever made.

Got these last time at this price, I'm completely happy with them. Using them primarily for watching videos and gaming, but music sounds great too.

I'm tall/skinny with a moderately large head and they are comfortable and secure. Battery life is impressive. I understand some of the complaints, but overall I think they're a good deal at this price. Completely collapsed, they even fit great on my 2 year old for watching videos on the airplane last week. I'd be looking at the 4.50 if I was commuting a lot.

QC35 costs 3 times more. It's not a fair comparison.

Not directly. But it still provides feedback and a comparison.

Price has dropped to $97.99 on Amazon.

Bought a pair for me and my gf and we both love them (comfort, sound quality, battery life, multiple device pairing, foldable design, etc.). Honestly I really think it's down to head shape/size and ear size in terms of the varying reports about comfort. As for sound quality, for reference I have the UE Triple Fi 10, Sony MDRV6, and the HD 598s and for the price, they sound great. Obviously my 598s (got for $100 in past sales) kill them, but that's not really a fair comparison between wireless BT headphones vs wired open cans.

What about the PXC 550's? Or the Sony WH1000XM2? So many options these days.. Sometimes I also stare at the steelseries wireless headsets with the interchangeable battery. They're releasing a new headset in 3 days, they claim it's going to be "High Fidelity".

Personally, I want analytical sound that plays the way it was meant to be heard. Not a big fan of headsets that distort audio for bass, treble, or mids... (ie; love my 650's, but their corded :/ )
