Best Buy Rewards certificates? Any way to delay expiration or cash out?

Best Buy automatically issued about $140 worth of reward certificates and they expire in 2 months. I don't have any plans to buy anything right now. Is there anyway to convert them to a form of cash or extend their validity? Prefer to have cash if possible.

Anyone knows of any methods of preventing rewards from being wasted?

Thanks.

You can use it buy gift cards (ebay or others) change seetings to bank only and then buy something with the certificate and return it. The points will be added back to your account.

My store says you can't use the rewards certs on gift cards so I guess it is YMMV.
