This phone cannot be UNLOCKED... whatsoever... So don't waste time asking or investing to do so... Also won't work with Tmobile..

This is a pretty nice phone. I got this deal last week and received phone on Tuesday. The screen looks good. Weird UI issues can be mostly mitigated by installing Google Now Launcher.

Application space will be an issue, even with microSD expansion. Phone is stuck on Marshmallow (Android 6.0).

Yes. Music player, wifi ect.

There will still be 100 replies asking this question, but.........

This phone CAN NOT BE UNLOCKED. Can ONLY be used on Simple Mobile!

This has already been covered in the original thread.

Yes, what you seek to do is possible.

Also, for everyone - answers to lots of questions about this phone in the old thread:

https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/366783

Any time it's a Simple Mobile / Total Wireless / Straight Talk / TracFone device, there is absolutely no unlocking until the phone until after 12 consecutive months of paid service on one of those providers has been fulfilled. There are no unlocking code services either and no other way around it.

These phones cannot be taken to other services. For some of them, you might be able to use a Simple Mobile phone on Straight Talk, or like a Straight Talk.phone on Total Wireless (it depends if the device supports it). But you can't take these TracFone company devices to Verizon, Cricket, Boost, T-Mobile, AT&T, MetroPCS, Sprint or anything other than a TracFone based service until it has been unlocked (which is again, after 12 months of service)
