I can't comment on reliability, but how can you say acer makes ugly laptops lol. Acers gaming laptops look like most of the other gaming laptops out there

I've been looking at laptops here for about a month now to play games while I'm on the road. Seems like there have been a lot of recent deals on gtx1050 "gaming" laptops which I was considering but after looking at benchmarks on actual games, the 1060 just blows it out of the water.

This deal has a lot going for it, the 1060, 16gb of ram, no tax, great price. I'm in for one.

That's a great deal for those specs. Although Acer laptops aren't exceptionally reliable and they are also kind of ugly.

Well I think he means it's ugly compared to some of the newer laptops being released these days. Most are in line with the minimalistic "xps" design. This laptop has great specs but refurbished.

I'm not sure on their Refurbished warranty but if it's like Dell's then that's not bad at all. I got a Dell 7577 with the same specs and it runs everything perfectly.

this thing gets hot as hell but so do most laptops. This has vents at least but the air coming out is 140F.

also possible chance you will get one without the necessary cable to hookup the extra hard drive. Then you have to take the whole thing apart.

I have this laptop and I enjoy it quite a lot, it has a second hdd bay(although you may have to request the bracket from acer). The price for what you get is very good imo, it plays most optimized games well and non optimized games like Hunt:showdown it gets pretty bad frame rate usually I am around 30-40 on low settings but just like PUBG performance improves a lot when the developers get things sorted out.

Several reviews on Newegg says it's missing the cables..wonder how easy is to get the required cables to hook up an extra ssd..also not sure how reliable acer is compared to say Dell or MSI...

I have this laptop it rocks, I usually hook it up to a tv when I travel and play with a xbone controller.. basically every game I throw at it so far had played on high/ultra settings on 1080 with great fps.

In my experience acer laptops are solid. I've dropped several...rolling down stairs...one got dropped out of a moving car. One was run over by a car on the edge... and they all still worked...
