Just called to see if my local Home Depot had them in stock and ask how long it's on sale. They said that the $499 is the new price. It's not in sale, which is great because I'll be buying one when I get my tax return money!

If you look online and select on store pickup are you getting the $499 price doing that?

I have the non self-propelled variant and I will say that unless you have a bunch of hills this thing is so light that you are probably better off saving the money and passing on the self-propelled.

I bought the self propelled for the 50% larger battery mostly.

Looks like the 21in push version with 5Ah and rapid charger dropped to $399 online. If I recall correctly, it was $449 or 499 previously.

Leaf blower will knock your socks off, love mine.

Agree with the other poster who said its light and easy to push, but me being the epitome of lazy, wish I had gotten self-propelled.

Great mower! Got one last year on a deal and use it to cut .7 acre about every two weeks. Love the Ego equipment. The larger leaf blower (not the backpack), hedge trimmer, and weed eater work great too.

We've always had high quality gas mowers (Honda, Toro, John Deere) but this is my favorite push mower I've ever used. Absolutely love it and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't need a riding lawn mower for their lawn.

I don't actually use the self propel function most of the time, but I have a hard time imagining not having it.

The self-propelled motor is also stronger than the push version. It's worth paying the extra for the larger battery alone.

I've had mine for two years love it. Would never go back to gas. In the summer I can turn on my outdoor speakers and cut the grass while listening to music. I will even sometimes not use the self propelled feature as I think it makes more noise than the actual mower does.

I'm concerned about an electric mower over gas due to power. How will handle 5-6 inches of grass or wet grass if I miss a mow?
