I have been using this pair since late November. They've traveled all over the world with me and have been put through some fairly heavy use. Threw them into my bag a few times when I didn't have the case on hand too. I can safely say I haven't had any cracking issues at all, nor read anywhere that mentions the XM2 cracking yet. Out of curiosity, where did you read that?

Great ANC headphones with great battery life and analog input for longer battery life or if it runs out of juice. Only downsides are microUSB instead of USB type-C, no AptX Low Latency, and the earpads are a little shallow for my tastes.

The speaker was $40 before, so it's a $260 deal for the headphones. They were $250 earlier this week from Massdrop.

I just missed the Massdrop deal because I hesitated due to the micro-USB.

I think $250 will be a normal price soon. I hope for this from Crutchfield, because I can buy their gift cards with 20% discount using Discover cashback, which would make these headphones $210 (but lose credit card extended warranty which is probably not so smart taking into consideration reports of them cracking)

Does CC warranty only apply if you pay for entire product with it? Or can you pay majority with giftcards and leave a pittance to pay with credit card?

This or Bose QC25 - I don't care so much about the wireless but looking for a good price point for these headphones. I travel quite a lot.

You should check your CC T&C but I believe paying for full amount is requirement on most/all cards.

These. Tried the older Sony and the qc25 and there was no comparison.

Per T&C, on the Costco Citibank card they will cover up to the amount charged on the card for the item, so at least there is some amount of coverage, but definitely not the entire product.

The noise-cancelling is comparable but the sound that comes out of these is much better.

I too travel a lot for work (2-6 flights a month). Im no audiophile, went to BB and tried both. Both were similar, the qc was slightly lighter both sounded the same to me. The sony felt like it had a slightly stonger build, but neither felt too strong to hold up to being thrown around. I went with sony b/c the battery life, felt minimally stonger
