Are these projectors complete overkill for a classroom? The ones at my school are terrible.

Anyone know how the Optoma UHD60 4K HDR compares to the newly released BenQ HT2550 4K HDR? Only $150 difference. I heard projectors can't fully use HDR tho, and its only replicating it though a chip?

Nice deal on the GT1080Darbee, but I'll hold off for another year or so until I can make use of it.

Not a bad price for the uhd60. Been contemplating it as its one is the brighter faux 4k projectors which I need

I wonder how many hours will come on the lamps or if they put new ones in them.

I think the cheapest XGA Epson listed would be a good choice. It's bright and designed for such settings as opposed to a home theatre.

Good HW, get em while you can! I'll be curious to see what happens to projectors over the next 4-5 years now that wall sized TV's are affordable enough to push projectors out of the business side of the market. Manufacturers have to be hurting bad.
Not comparable to these, but picked up a lefun one on Amazon for under 50. First projector and I'm blown away. Granted at the price I paid the room has to be pretty dark...

These are primarily for home theater use and wouldn't be very effective in a classroom environment. Epson and Hitachi are the bigger players in classroom projectors but you have look specifically for that category.

I have a big family room of my basement I don't use at all right now. I was thinking home theater room. Would one of these be good for that? I was looking at the benq returbs a few weeks ago but they sold out.

What? No. Even 75" doesn't compare to 120"
