Decent prices. But Sprint, so take that as you may. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

and a lot of (dozen) nice Ringplus phones in the drawers gathering dust. I just saw ALL PLANS discounted. I hope they stick around, I'm a happy customer on Paygo but I did mix it up once with a plan. https://www.prepaidphonenews.com/...to-35.html

Apart from offering up to 35% discount on the price of its phone plans, Tello has brought in an option of going with 4GB data on their plan.

The discount is applicable to both new and existing Tello customers. For existing customers, the benefits take effect right away. Meanwhile, the lower price starts at the next billing period.

A good thing about Tello's cell phone plans is that these can be upgraded, renewed, or downgraded at any time, and without any charges. Each plan also includes free calls to Canada, Mexico, and China; as well as other features like unlimited text, voicemail, and tethering.

There is a nice chart where you can see all their rates. They dropped rates by 35% and added a new 4GB plan. This is a pretty good deal, it even beats RedPocket for some plans. Tello allows you to change your plan anytime and rollover your units.

need unlocked sprint phone. not everyone has it.
many stores don't even sell unlocked phone that work on Sprint.
Most unlocked phone are for att, tmobile.
I don't understand why mvno companies choose to do business with sprint.

For instance, if you want a plan including unlimited minutes & text plus 1GB of data, you can have it now at only $14/mo., instead of $19. Need more data? Add 2GB instead of 1GB to the same combo and you'll end up paying only $19 for what used to be $25/month.

Put a few friends on Tello when Ring+ collapsed and it's been really solid. $10.00 for 333 minutes that don't expire if ya make an occasional call is awesome!!!!! Just switched my elderly father to the $14.00 Unlimited T&T about 7 months ago and it's been great!!! I think I paid Tello $5.00 when I ported my old Boost Moto G in and not a penny since. Line still works cuz I make a quick call every 3 months.

Finding phones that work on Tello can be a challenge. Unlocked Motos that work on all US carriers are a good option. Older Boost and Virgin phones are hit and miss.

In some scenarios. You still have to buy 1-year of service which is basically like a contract. On Tello you can pay for what you need. Mint is known to cut you off for talking or texting too much.

I got an old Boost Samsung Galaxy S3 activated on Tello on paygo plan. I added $10 9 months ago. Yesterday I checked my account to see that I still have around $8 left. Applause

Yup, paygo is Tello's real gem. $10.00 for 333 minutes that don't expire can last some people a really long time. I think one of the lines I setup for an elderly couple is going on 2 years with the original $10.00 balance!!!! SmilieSmilie Sprint's native coverage can be really spotty so it's a good idea to experiment with a line to see if it works for ya. Users who live in the concrete jungle and never travel could easily use Tello as their primary service.

Agreed on the spotty coverage. My tello plan is basically good only if I'm near a big city. When I travel, I'm basically in the dark. But come to think of it, that's actually a plus when traveling. Smilie

Probably the cheapest wholesale rates would be my guess.
