If you're not concerned about the US intelligence warnings this is a great entry level smart phone. I've been using it for 4 or 5 months with no issues. Is it top of the line, no, but it's $65 and pretty much disposable when you want to upgrade. I've been buying phones under $100 now for the past 3-4 years and won't go back to the high priced stuff for my needs.

Cricket is basically ATT network with speed cap..it might be slower but I wouldn't say slowest.. and the unreliable part is totally false unless you consider ATT the most unreliable network.

Think this phone is better, about the same, or worse than the same size LG X Charge?

This seems to be a good deal.

I have the grandfathered Cricket 5 lines/$100 plan. Any idea if this phone would be usable to change out with my existing phone on this plan? I have been using a Moto E 1st gen.

Also, would Cricket consider that a plan change and use that as an excuse to bump up my monthly charge?

Can the $30 refill be applied to the monthly plan?

Thanks in advance.

I'm also grandfathered on the 5 lines/$100 plan. I have switched two of the phones to this Huawei model and have had no issues, still paying $100/month. Just swap out the sim card and do not contact Cricket for anything.

Thanks for the info. So you simply took your old SIM out of the original phone, popped it into the new Huawei and it worked immediately?

Very similar specs. LG has a slightly larger battery, but both have larger than average. LG might be more secure.

Not only does the government (NSA, FBI) warn against using this brand (Huawei), Cricket is the slowest and most unreliable network nationwide. Don't waste your money.
I have had Cricket for nearly 2 years now.
No problems.

Now.....if your talkin' MetroPCS, I agree.

Tell me about it. Switched from years of cricket to MetroPCS and is a night and day difference in a major metro area.

Blazing fast LTE data at 1 Mbps. It's laughable. Caved in for the free phones. fark T-Mobile.
