Will get most of the job done. From my experience, I wouldn't count on the vice grips to get the slightly tougher jobs aka some rusty bolts.

Great find. Seems like an excellent price.

Some rusty bolts just have to be cut off. I only see a problem with vice type grips when they bend or break.

This is a great set for someone to have some basic tools.

Yes, VERY basic. As in only uses their tools once a month or so. Because anything more and they'll be useless after they break or bend.

Sorry I'm overly pessimistic about cheap hand tools, they're probably not that bad.

Basic not for pros. No pro would use these except the wire cutters. Even then only if they were not an electrician. They might use the vice grips if they seldom needed them.

Bought these yesterday to have in my patrol car, definitely not something I'd put my life on, but I hope I'd never have to rely on some pliers in a life or death situation either 😂 I'm sure they'd get basic stuff done

I do appliance repair and my tools consist of 80% HT brand and 20% Harbor Freight brand. The HF tools have bended pretty easily. The HT tools go through some stubborn bolts and screws, but it's like they've never been used before.

These are great for the price. I use the slip joint and channel locks almost daily at work.

I purchased some HT tools in the past, they're really poorly made and don't last very long at all. They either start to strip or don't grip very well in the first place. In addition, if you value your time, get some decent tools and you'll start saving a little bit of time every time. You may think a few seconds to a few minutes each time isn't very much, but add up all the small tasks you do over a long period of time and adds up to quite a bit.
