They are not downvoting for "no reason". There is a valid and frustrating reason that is stated by numerous people each time one of these "deals" is posted. A deal is only a deal if something is priced lower than it historically has been. Raising prices 20% and then offering a 20% coupon is not a deal.

Thank you. Not sure why thumbs down, rookie myself for posting...but for some, 10% discount is better than nothing. Hopefully the post is clear enough.

By posting these crappy "deals" here, you're helping eBay, not any of the folks who come here looking for deals.

Yes it's not personal. Deals like these often get voted down even though there are deals to be had after applying the coupon, it just takes a little legwork which the typical slickdeal's leech is unwilling to do, so instead they come here to downvote and threadcrap

I have been looking at monitors for the last couple weeks. This coupon reduced the price of lots of monitors on ebay by 10%. If you're too lazy to do your own research that's not my problem.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, slickdeals has a problem with downvoting. Why should someone waste their time to post a deal if losers are just going to downvote it for no reason.

Yep. It's always about the deals. The votes rate the deal, not the poster. Unless you start spamming junk nonstop.

Making up stories doesn't help your attempt at a point. This is a specific coupon only valid for a group of select sellers (for the most part, no-name) ones.

It is highly doubtful you looked at any of their listings to notice a price difference.

Wrong. I've been scouring ebay.

Mostly regretting not buying that 27 inch dell with freesync.

Zero justification for the downvotes.

Exactly! Ebay needs help. Their whole marketing model is messed up. This stupid game they play with certain sellers is dumb, and promos that get released that could be valuable are only valid for a few hours and expire, sometimes before I even see them. I'm not sure what they think they are doing, but it drives me away from their site.

Just do a genuine promotion and let us use it! It's not like they aren't making insaine profits off the selling fees!

Highly doubtful. Whenever they run this deal, the sellers almost always inflate the price to then reduce it with a coupon. Or the they are selling referbs of old models that have no real msrp anyway. Not to mention, those sellers are generally not the best deal on that item to begin with. It's just marketing.

if you happen to actually save 10%, good for you. But what others are trying to tell you is, you PROBABLY didn't. If you're happy with that, cool. But the downvotes are for a justified and real reason.
