These look like regular USB ports. Why are they useless?

Until they break what? Is Samsung planning on changing something?

Best deal available on a non-WiFi unit. Kinda sucks that it removes access to a second socket and replaces it with borderline useless USB ports, though. I suppose it's asking a lot for companies to make these things spread out horizontally instead of vertically.

Any additional coupons for the other products? I'd like to get the garage door sensor.

Why are the USB ports useless? I don't see anything like that in the reviews.

most outlets are near the ground so the plug will be near the ground. I've got cameras, phones, tablets, .etc and i don't want them sitting on the ground. I can get long usb cables, but then i need to get more cables.
and it looks like the charging speed is 1A and 2.4A so it's not even fast charging.

I just use a multiport usb charger that does into a surge protector.
I thought there was something wrong with the ports, but, you're right, for your application these don't make sense.
