The 2016 has been knowing to have a faulty keyboard but due to my experience is because of the misused of the user because is a totally new set. It's really hard to get around it.

Secondly, the keyboard on 2017 is fixed to the previous error made on the 2016 as like the loose key, a small fix. Nothing major.

Now let's talk about the cpu. In 2016 it's a 6th 2.9 gen and benchmark are around single core 3k and double core 7k on numbers while 2017 3.1 is a newest cpu. 7th gen and runs 4K single core and 8k dual core.

These number are comparison of 2016 2.9 and 2017 3.1....

I did my research and honestly I ended up buying 2017. You can get them each model around 1000-1500 on eBay news and sealed and under warranty.

For me it could be an excellent price if this is the 2017 model, 1200-1300 for 2016 is good thou.

From what I have heard they share the same keyboard. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Processor is slightly faster on the 2017. Typical Apple refresh.

I have been itching to get this deal. This is the 3rd time they have dropped the price to this level. Reviews on eBay for this MBP from this seller are thumbs up.

I'd probably pull the trigger if that rumored MacBook Air wasn't coming out.

Ah I was excited until realized this is the 2016 model. Still a solid deal, but the 2017 has a little bit better of a processor

I'm a MBA user since 2012. Honestly I jump to the MBP this year, the only regret is the freaking keyboard. I need to adjust, I like my old one. But other than that, it's a great acquisition. Go for it! Hehehe.

I used to own this the 2016 13" with touch bar. This is a solid price if you want the touch bar, extra ports, and larger SSD.

But if you don't, I'd pass on this. Wait for the 2018 refresh and grab a model without touch bar. The 2018 refresh should move to quad core processors, and will have a better battery. The 256gb model will probably be $1400-$1500.

Might as well wait a few months. Rumor is Q2 of this year. https://www.macrumors.com/2018/03...r-2q-2018/
