Not bad for those digital lovers. I just cant do it. If Im paying retail almost for the physical, id rather play and beat. Then sell on craigs or other sell apps vs stuck on my HD

Agreed. Anyone that worried about saving $6 is more cheap than intelligent seems as digital can't re-sell. No residual value unless you sell platform/account all together. Buying new games for $48 (via best buy rewards or prime), beating them in first 2-4 weeks, and re-selling for $45-55 on ebay ($38-43 net) is a good model (assuming you just want a single player experience).

For those with Amazon prime, it's 47.99 for the physical copy. Beats this deal, and you can resell it once you beat it.

Sony published titles have almost always been like $25 on BF. This will more than likely be the same. Or another bundle or so.

Yep, I never pay retail for games. But I sell them quick after beating, then cop again during the holidays, if it was something amazing.

Sony might try to keep it at 25, but the glut of used won't. either way, 25 is better than 50, and with the backlog any real game hoarder has, i can probably wait for a few years and pick it up at gamestop for 8.99 Smilie

I used to be a big fan of the Amazon discount as well and would preorder games I've been itching to play, but I gotta say...it's just not worth it when AAA games will drop to 1/3 of the release date value in 3 months now. Wait a 1 year and you can get it for 10 bucks sometimes. Wait 2 years or more and it's rock bottom pricing with the DLC. I understand supporting the industry, but I'm too cheap to preorder anymore.

WAS a good model. Now games are never retail price anymore, and most of the best games are online multiplayer where 2 disks cost more than 1 digital copy for the same 2 people to play it. especially nearer to launch when the most people are playing it...

Not being able to let go of ancient Physical media is why games still cost that much especially digital, once the last round of the gaming equivalent to neanderthal cave-people come to their senses and stop thinking physical is a better value, the game and console makers will drop the price of games drastically, due to the cost savings of near zero for distribution, supplies/materials, and manufacturingz plus they would allow more than 2 consoles to share it (think of apple family sharing) or a model where for 1 price 2 consoles simultaneously, for a slightly hogher price, 3-5 consoles can share...

You could have groups of fam and friends that all pool their games or split x amount per game or per month to buy a bunch of games, possibilities and competition would be fierce

And u can stop getting robbed by gamestop and stop feeling like a fool for getting up off the couch or gaming chair to insert a disk that isnt even necessary besides to authenticate and prove u arent sharing it, and it STILL eats up your storage even tho the damn thing is already loaded on to the hard drive !!

And with out of home game streaming to a portable or laptop growing huger, how do u change the disk when u arent home? Call a neighbor and a key under the mat? Tech can't advance if u dont let it
